JOB TITLE: Field Quality Technician - Services
DEPARTMENT: AFRICA Field Quality Improvement (FQI)
LOCATION/REGION: Gauteng Rosslyn
REPORTING TO: Technical Manager
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Fixed Term
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for conducting vehicle diagnostics and testing in accordance with Company and Customer's standards and requirements. To determine root cause of parts/vehicle faults as established by the customers and ensure to; maintain and improve quality of diagnostic and testing procedures, observing the appropriate testing methods; utilising relevant tools and equipment to effectively execute testing procedures.
Candidate MUST Have the following: -
Education/Requirements:
➢ Grade 12 with English fluency (written and spoken)
➢ Vehicle Technician (Nissan N-STEP preferred)
➢ COSHH “chemical substances handling”
➢ Spillage Response
➢ Workshop Service Manual (ESM) Handling
➢ Valid Code B (08) driver’s license with no endorsement
➢ Ability to work under pressure as well as strict timelines
➢ Knowledge in usage of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric equipment
➢ Computer Literate in MS Office Applications;
➢ Worked in the logistics/supply chain environment for at least 3 - 5 years.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
➢ Conducting the requested incident parts testing and/or duplication on vehicles
➢ Reproduce issue / verbatim according to customer experience utilising the “5W/1H” methodology.
➢ Liaising with the dealership and warranty department to determine issue with faulty parts. Assisting engineers with the initial quality improvement on failed parts
➢ Implement technical investigations and liaising all parties for countermeasure actions that improve vehicle quality.
➢ Managing the incident parts movement from the dealership, to warranty, Field Quality Centre then to the supplier/manufacturing.
➢ Capturing and reporting of data effectively
➢ Ensure that processes by the test operation are performed in accordance with the Client and Company Standards;
➢ Compiling/inputting relevant information on the Dofi Doc and distribute accordingly to relevant parties
➢ Weekly and Monthly Report of FQC activity Dashboard
Additional duties.

➢ Ensure department adheres to ISO 14001 Environmental Processes and standards
➢ Ensure department adheres to ISO 45001 Health and Safety standards
